Simple formula for goal-setting.
“Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality.” Ralph Marston
The reason I believe so many adults fail to convert the majority of their goals into reality is that they succumb to their doubts. Our kids set goals. You did when you were a kid – and you realized a high percentage of them. Much higher than you do now.
The difference? Kids refuse to relinquish their dreams (goals) to doubts. As we get older we ask far too many “What If?” questions. We become victims of our own fear. We get blinded by our own imperfections. We focus on our weaknesses instead of our strengths. Many years ago someone told me that I have strengths and weaknesses and that I should work on my weaknesses. I did, and I ended up with a lot of strong weaknesses!!
Look for reasons that you will succeed, rather than for reasons you won’t. Minimise your doubts and increase the measure of your reality.
